Restoration of rugs and textiles is done by hand in the studio by master restorers. Our restorers have been trained in Afghanistan and are skilled in re-weaving, re-structuring, securing and stain removal. We can also offer conservation solutions for your antiques.

“Conservation is preserving an object with as little change to the object as possible. The goal is to prevent further damage or deterioration.

Restoration is an attempt to return an object to its original or first condition.”

Rug Cleaning

Depending on the condition, traffic or use, rugs and carpets require regular maintenance. Trapped dirt can wear down the rug pile from underneath, causing structural damage. Regular dust and dirt removal will help prevent this and eliminate allergens which can build up over time, such as dust mites and harmful bacteria. A regular wash will also freshen the colours of the rug and repel moths and silverfish.

Behruz Studio offers a cleaning service for rugs and textiles. Rugs are sent to a professional rug cleaning plant where dirt and soil are removed and the rugs are bathed, shampooed and dried in a controlled temperature room.
